Garage Floor Epoxy

Are you tired of looking at a cracked, stained, or corroding garage floor? We would be, too. Damaged and stained concrete doesn’t just look bad; it’s also a sign of more problems to come if you don’t fix it in a timely manner. Instead of letting the problem persist, consider taking your garage to the next level with epoxy floors. Here are several reasons to have epoxy flooring in your garage.

It’s Durable and Long-Lasting.

Epoxy floors are common in garages because they’re extremely durable against the wear and tear of a garage. They’re also scratch- and stain-resistant, making them ideal for all homes. If you’re the type of person who works on their car at home and parks in their garage, you need an epoxy floor. Additionally, epoxy floors are great because they last for many years.

Cleaning Has Never Been Easier.

Because epoxy leaves a smooth floor, it makes the floor much easier to clean. You can sweep traditional concrete, but if something spills, getting the stain out is near impossible. Epoxy flooring allows homeowners to easily clean up spills such as motor oil with much less difficulty than with a concrete floor.

It Looks Great and Increases Your Home’s Value.

Epoxy floors are aesthetically pleasing, and they can also increase your home’s value. If you’re looking to sell your home in the future, adding an epoxy floor is a cost-effective method to upgrade your garage. In fact, epoxy is easy to install you use the right contractor with the right tools. The costs will repay themselves when you go to sell your home.

We highly recommend epoxy floors for every homeowner’s garage because they’re durable, long-lasting, and slip-resistant—plus, they can even improve the value of your home. What more do you need? Epoxy floors are great for anyone who works in their garage a lot and for those who simply park in the garage.

Why do I need Epoxy on my Garage Floor?
Unprotected concrete floors will wear and be stained by oils and fluids. An Epoxy Floor protects the concrete from wear because it is more durable than the concrete itself and actually stronger. Epoxy Floors provide a hard-durable finish that is so dense that oils and fluids cannot penetrate its surface to soak in and cause staining.
Can you fix cracks and holes in the concrete surface with Epoxy?
Our product is self-levelling however we always fill major cracks and holes with a suitable filler.
Can I put Epoxy over pre-existing paints, other coatings, tiles or timber?
Epoxy is not recommended for application over existing coatings because the existing coating will inhibit bonding of the Epoxy coating to the concrete floor. We ensure that all coatings are removed completely by diamond grinding.
Can you apply a non-slip finish to Epoxy Floors?
Yes. Depending on your requirements we can include a variety of non-slip additives that conform to AS/NZS 4586 where required, and can even arrange a Slip Test with a NATA Accredited Report and Certification.
Will Epoxy Floors scratch?
Yes, Epoxy can be scratched if extremely heavy objects are dragged across its surface. We always recommend a Clear Top Coat of Polyurethane or Polyaspartic, if you require a more durable finish.
How long will it last?
Depending on the product used, and the amount of foot/vehicular traffic the floor is subject to, and whether it is applied for Residential or Commercial use will greatly affect the longevity. This can be advised for each particular application, and in most instances a regular maintenance procedure will need to be put in place to ensure the longevity of the surface.
How long does a typical installation take?
Depending on the coating system used and the size, most installations are completed in 1 to 3 days
